Lincoln Park Zoo Tuesday and Sunday Bird Walks - Regular bird walks are scheduled every Tuesday and Sunday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. during the months of April, May, September and October, meeting at the Lincoln Park Zoo Bird House.  If the zoo is still closed at 8:30, meet at the Lincoln Park Conservatory.  The Zoo is expected to be closed until 10:00 through April. IAS Virtual Spring Gathering: Big Day Competition and Evening Program

The day starts with a Big Count Competition where you can register on the IAS website to count as many birds as possible in Illinois from midnight to 4:00 p.m. Registration costs $10 and you can designate Team Fort Dearborn as the competition includes a competition among the IAS chapters as well as an individual competition. There will be both a winning chapter and an individual winner designated. Registration also includes a link to an evening Zoom program at 6:00 p.m. on May 1st with a presentation by Scott Robinson, Ordway Professor of Ecosystem Conservation at the University of Florida on “Balancing Science and Birdwatching: A Personal Journey.” Registration is now open on the IAS website: illinoisaudubon.org.
